Wow! This is really well done. Many people experience trouble getting the proportions in portraits right but you've seemed to have nailed. Also, I really love the contrast you've created with the darkness of the glasses against the grey of everything else. However, don't be afraid to go darker with your details. I now the glasses are meant to stand out, but that doesn't mean you can't go back and really invest in all the details and shadows of the face. Bring out the darks of the face and the highlights more and it will really make a difference to the piece. Especially in places like the hair (which does need a bit more detail), the eyes and the nose. With darker values and brighter contrasts, you can still keep then glasses the main focal point but you can also bring out the rest of the picture instead of hiding it in grey scales. That said, this is a wonderful picture and a very realistic example of the human face. Keep up the awsome work

oooh, thanks again!! hehe *cough* … yeaaah, the hair … To be honest, I actually got a little lazy, when doing the hair

And the original does have more contrast, probably still not enough, not even for me … but with the camera it always looks rather fuzzy

But still, I'm really greatful for such comments! I'm not that expirienced yet and i really need those kind of comments! So thanks a lot!

Aha! That's it XD I know how you feel, but sometimes you just gotta stop and then go back. Especially with something tedious like hair xD I know ow cameras can drain works, mine does all the time. but just don't be afraid to challenge yourself and really go DARK with that pencil. You may love the result
